Flitzen Trade Mark.
Flitzen is a registered trade mark in the United Kingdom. The Intellectual Property Office entered the mark on the register on 31 July 2026 under number UK00004383482, with effect from 6 May 2026. It is held by Flitzen Technologies UK Limited, company number 12616153, and it covers both the software we build and the services we build it with. The full certificate is reproduced further down this page, exactly as the registrar issued it.
The registration
A registered trade mark is a property right. It gives the owner the exclusive right to use the mark for the goods and services it is registered against, and the right to stop other traders using the same or a confusingly similar mark in the same field. Ours was filed, examined and published by the Intellectual Property Office, an operating name of the Patent Office, before it was entered on the register.

The registration runs for ten years from the effective date and can be renewed for further ten year periods with no upper limit, so the mark stays ours for as long as we keep it in use and keep it renewed. Anyone can verify all of this independently: the record is public and searchable on the Intellectual Property Office trade marks register by number.
What it covers
Trade marks are registered against classes of goods and services under the Nice Classification. Flitzen is registered in two, and between them they describe what this firm actually does rather than a token entry filed to reserve a name.
- Class 9Software as goods
- Class 42Software services
Class 9 covers software itself, in the broad sense the certificate sets out: computer software, software packages and downloadable applications, application and enterprise software, mobile and smartphone software, operating and system software, computer software platforms and software that runs on servers, ecommerce software, database management software, development tools, compilers, debugging and testing software, security software including antivirus, antispyware, antimalware, firewall and encryption software, plus graphics, animation, multimedia, CAD, simulation, workflow, accounting and educational software.
Class 42 covers the services around that software: computer software design, development and engineering, bespoke software development and development of software application solutions, computer software consultancy, software integration, installation, configuration, maintenance, updating and upgrading, testing of computer software, computer hardware and software design, database software development, software as a service featuring machine learning, and computer software research.
In plain terms, if it is software we can build it, and if it is built we can design, develop, integrate, test and maintain it. That is the ground the mark protects, and it lines up with the services we actually sell.
The certificate
Here is the certificate of registration in full, three pages, as issued by the Intellectual Property Office. Pages one and two list the class 9 goods and the class 42 services in the registrar's own wording. Page three carries the proprietor details.
Why it matters to clients
Most of the time a trade mark is a matter for lawyers and nobody else. For the people who hire us it does two useful things.
It tells you who you are dealing with. Software procurement is full of firms that appear, take a deposit and go quiet. Registering a mark means putting a company number, a proprietor name and a paper trail on a public register, held by a government office, that anybody can check in a minute. We have been building software for UK businesses since 2012, and the name we do it under is now on that register.
It also means the work carries a name we can defend. When we deliver a system under the Flitzen name, that name is not a label anyone else can borrow to trade off. If you have ever been sent an invoice from a lookalike supplier or found a clone of a website you paid for, you already know why that is worth having. It is one of several reasons clients choose us over a cheaper unknown.
Using the Flitzen name
Clients, partners and journalists are welcome to refer to us by name. Use "Flitzen" or "Flitzen Technologies UK Limited" as written, keep the logo files unmodified, and do not stretch, recolour or set them on a busy background. Our clients may say that Flitzen built their website, app or system, and we are glad when they do. Plenty of them already have.
What is not permitted, without written consent from us, is using the name or logo in a way that suggests a partnership, endorsement or reseller arrangement that does not exist; registering a company name, trading name, domain or social handle that includes Flitzen or a close variant; or using the mark on your own goods or services in classes 9 or 42. The mark may be shown with the registered symbol as Flitzen® where appropriate.
If you need logo files or a short company description for a case study, press piece or partner directory, ask and we will send them over. It takes us a day at most.
Report misuse or ask permission
If you have seen our name or logo used by someone who is not us, or you want permission for a use described above, tell us. Include a link or a screenshot and we will look into it. For anything to do with this registration, quote UK00004383482.
